ZHOU SITONG

My name is ZHOU SITONG. There are four people in our family, Dad, Mom, my
young brother, and me.
I come from a very small village in China. In China, villages are almost distributed by
the surname, people that have the same surname come together to form a village
named the surname. But there are few persons whose surname are Zhou in my
hometown’s village. Having heard from my father, I know that people, whose
surname are Zhou, escaped to this village when running away from famine and they
were taken in by kind villagers, thus living there. And the village has us whose
surname are Zhou. Zhou ranks fifth in the Book of Family Names, dating back to
Shang Dynasty in history. Now, most people whose surname are Zhou live in
Zhumatien, Henan Province, south Jiangsu, Shanghai and Shandong.
My father is a dentist. I have a big uncle and two uncles, my uncles are dentist too.
And my brothers, sisters are almost work in hospital. So why my family are doctor? It
can go back to my grandfather, even my grandfather’s grandfather. My grandfather
is dentist too. My grandfather said his father even his grandfather is dentist. But why
grandfather’ grandfather have had the skill to be a doctor? My grandfather said
proud that his grandfather learn it from Japanese during the war. This skill had been
passed down from generation to generation fortuitously. My brothers and sisters
chose medical professional in college so i am the only one in my family who didn’t
study medicine.
My grandfather has passed away when I was in Grade Seven and he was 66 years
old. The reason for this is that he fainted because of the cerebral hemorrhage when
he was seeing patients. And he never woke up after sent to the hospital by
neighbors. It had rained for a whole week when we prepared a funeral for my
grandfather. However, it became sunny until all things were arranged well. After
that, my grandmother lived alone. Although my father and uncle asked her to live
with us alternately, my grandmother has never agreed and moved to the village,
where is their former home. Because she felt that there was more comfortable,
where she could my grandfather’s existence.
I also have an aunt, but I have hardly seen her. For a long time, I haven’t known my
father has a sister. It was until two years ago, when my aunt and uncle got a divorce
and she brought her daughter into the hometown from other place, that I know her
existence. In addition, my aunt’s daughter, who is my sister, has been looked after by
my grandmother since she came back. But my aunts didn’t accept her at all. Thus,
they often have a quarrel for this thing.
My family is small and family history is simple. My family are kind but at the same
time we have some complicated contradiction each other.
In a word I love my family.

Everyone has a respectable person in mind. My respectable person is my grandparent.

My grandparent have many interesting story and they make me respect. Firstly, let me introduce my grandfather. My grandfather is very tall and handsome. And he has a good personality. In addition, when he was younger, he often caught pheasant with his friends. Especially, he ate a cat that it is hunted together with friends. When I heard about it, I thought it is a magical thing. Furthermore, when I was a kid, I swam by myself in the river. He usually grabbed my arm to protect me. When he was young, he worked hard to everything diligently. Then, let me introduce my grandmother. She is kindly and strong women. When my grandfather died, she began to take care of eight children by herself. My grandmother was just a farmer. She fed her children on her hands. When I talk with my grandmother now, she is always telling me that how to make money in those days. When I heard of it, my heart is admired and it makes my heart ache to see her harding at the same time.

You can see from the above, their qualities taught me a lot and motivated me to do my best. I love them.

The city of Qingdao is in the east of Shandong Province. It is famous for the blue sea and beautiful beaches. It is a wonderful place for summer holidays. Tens of thousands of people from all parts of the country visit Qingdao every summer. They walk along the beach, go swimming or do some shopping. We can see fine view of the city.Qingdao is rich in seafood, including fish, prawns, shellfish and sea weed as well as local foods from other areas.
Dongying has the second largest oilfield in China.A century ago, the city was still largely intact; it only had the marsh and sea.But now it is a modern city.Here the Yellow River into the sea.
YanTai is a beautiful place.It lies in the east of Shandong Province.It surrounded by green mountains.There is no heavy traffic in YanTai,and the air here is very fresh.So we can often breathe fresh air in YanTai.
In the past YanTai was poor,and people led a hard life.They couldn’t afford to send their children to school.But great changes have taken place in YanTai in the past twenty years.Many families don't have color TV sets,but also telephones ,fridges, computers and so on.New roads, houses, schools hospitals have been built.People in YanTai are working hard for a better life.
Besides,there is a special fruit-coconut.The juice of coconut is very sweet.We all love it.So YanTai has another name.It comes from coconut.It’s the city of coconut.
Summeron Mount YanTai is very cool.It can' be called a huge natural air-conditioner in summer. Winter here is nice,too.Heavy snow falls every year.There is a popular saying:"Mount YanTai in summer is green like a clear fountain,and in winter is white like a white jade."

My family history

My first name is WU，which is originated from Yan Emperor , dating back more than 5000 years of history.

My family has five people. My parents are so young who is born in 1974. And my mother is 41 years old. I have a sister is 16 years old who is study at senior high school and a brother is 13 years old who is study at junior high school. When I was so young, my family was lived in a city called Guilin. At that time, my parents took me to park every weekend. However, my mother took me came back to my hometown because of my studies when I study at primary school. My family lives in Anhui province except my father who is working in Guilin alone now. It is excited for we daughter and son that my father returned hometown for the new year and we go to Guilin to send the summer vacation with my father every year.

Park Hyek-Gu-Sae is the first king of Silla. The meaning of Hyek-Gu-Sae is 'bright king'. The queen was Al-Young. And his historical name is Guseogan(the meaning is just king). He is the ancestor of Park. Almost people know his birth story. When Silla was called 'Jinhan', in the forest, one man saw the horse which was kneel down. the horse was crying so he went to it. But when he arrived, there was egg remained. He broke the egg and the little child came out. People saw that weird situation and brought him to temple. They washed the child. After that, his body was shining, animals were dancing, sky and ground was vibrating and sun and moon was getting brighter. This bright light is the reason of Hyek-Gu-Sae's name. He is called as 'King Bulgunae'. His family name 'Park's mean is big egg. Whole meaning of name is 'Bright'. Hyek-Gu-Sae was popular as genius. He become a king when he was 13 wear old. And he changed country's name. In 61 year after he established his country, he flew to the sky and hid himself. His body went up to the sky dancing. And again, it was shattered and landed on the ground. People tried to clean up them but a snake hindered that. So people covered body parts separately, There was five mausoleum. It is called as 'snake tomb'. This is the story of Park Hyek-Gu-Sae. It is weird but this is a classic story of real king in korea.

 My family name’s History

There are about 300 kinds of family names in Korea. This is called ‘sung’

in Korea and all made using Chinese characters. Among them, Kim, Lee,

Park, Choi, Jung are the most in order, and Lim is the tenth. Almost all of

them are composed of single syllable, but sometimes there are two syllable

family names like DongBang or Sunwoo. My family name is Lim. My friends

pronounce it as im, it’s written in rim in English. This is because it is

pronounced as rim as a Chinese character. this chinese character written

as 林, it means tree. Most of Lim use this Chinese character. But having

the same gender is not a family. This is again divided into the ‘Bone-goan’,

which means that the original ancestor is the same. where first start my

family name is Buan that is Jeollabuk-do Buan. My original ancestor is Lim

gye mi. There is no many information about him, but it is assumed that

history of Lim is beginning from Chinese. Not many people of my ancestors

are historically very famous but I want to introduce a person named 'Lim

jong'. He was born in Chung-nam in 1554, and has a high position by

earnestly and hard work. He stepped out of position because of some

unexpected accident in the middle period. The reason was unknown.

However, he took great care of his mother and father, and he studied hard

all his life, so everyone around him respected him. After he was old, he

worked in the area where he lived. Later, his efforts to his village became

known then he received a reward from the king after he died. Though he

does not save the country or make great achievements, I respect his

righteous attitude and want to be inspired.

There are many first name ‘Kim’ in the Korea. I’m Gyeongju Kim inter alia. Before searching the Gyeongju Kim, I didn’t know about that anything even my family.

Our progenitor is Algi Kim. He lived in the Shinar era and was born in the Silim region.

What is most interesting is that he was born gold box. The gold box hunged on the branch and a white chicken was crowing under the tree.

When opening the box, a baby was in there and stood up suddenly. People called him Algi, that mean is a baby.

The Gyeongju Kims trace their descent from the ruling family of Silla. The founder of this clan is said to have been Kim Alji, an orphan adopted by King Talhae of Silla in the 1st century AD. Alji's seventh-generation descendant was the first member of the clan to take the throne, as King Michu of Silla in the year 262.

This clan is also extremely populous. In the South Korean census of 2000, more than 1.7 million citizens claimed to be Gyeongju Kims.

Daebogong gimalji is a figure of the Silla Dynasty and the founder of Gyeongju. Although the Japanese are said to have hatched out of the egg race, there is a myth that he is descended from the Chinese version of Kim iljae. The descendants of Kim iljae, munmuwang, are based on the memorial stone monument, giminmun Temple, and gimmunwang Temple Site.
